Technology consultancy Company85 has become first partner to be awarded Symantec’s new Delivery Provider status for Data Protection. The accreditation creates a new category of partner to provide consulting services in support of products sold by Symantec’s channel.
The accreditation was formally announced by Matt Ellard, Regional VP of Symantec, at a channel briefing held in London on November 3, 2011. The new Delivery Partner status reflects Company85’s capabilities to support Symantec distributors and resellers, which range from bid support to enablement, optimisation and managed services.
Company85’s individual accreditations are among the highest per head of any Symantec consulting partner worldwide. The firm has a strong track record of architecting, delivering and managing Symantec solutions, including appliances, enterprise security, storage management, endpoint management, data loss prevention, compliance, high availability, data protection, and archiving/e-discovery. Company85 also holds police/government security clearance, and it is a finalist in the ‘Small IT Supplier of the Year’ category of the UK IT Awards, and in the ‘Channel Service Provider of the Year’ category at the CRN Channel Awards 2011.
Neal Watkins, Symantec VP, EMEA Technology Sales Organisation said: “I am continually impressed by the Company85 team. They continue to go from strength to strength, and during the last 12 months we have seen them provide a great level of experience and expertise into our Symantec partner ecosystem and customer base. They are very collaborative and have a ‘partner first’ approach with the Symantec Specialist and Master Specialist Partners. Company85 pride themselves on technical excellence and accreditation which is the foundation of our own Symantec Technology Sales Organisation (TSO).”
Adrian Spink, CEO of Company85, said: “Company85 was formed barely a year ago after a management buyout from Symantec. When John Brigden and Enrique Salem of Symantec gave their backing to the MBO, a key driver was that we could become a critical part of the Symantec partner ecosystem. To receive this accreditation is a fantastic vindication of the faith Symantec has in the Company85 vision.”

Company85 is a finalist in the ‘Small IT Supplier of the Year’ category of the UK IT Awards, and in the ‘Channel Service Provider of the Year’ category at the CRN Channel Awards 2011. The winners of both awards will be announced later in November 2011.
