London City Airport initiated a ‘Smart Airport’ experience
With the aim of attracting more passengers and dynamically managing traffic through the terminal, the ‘Smart Airport’ programme uses business intelligence and analytics from 190 cameras across the airport to make smarter decisions and prioritise investment.

The joint Company85/LCY team comprised a multi-disciplinary group with responsibilities including business case development, technical architecture, service management, business continuity, security, RFP management and supplier selection, with direct involvement from both boards.
The new airport breaks new passenger records weekly, if not daily
Over the length of the relationship, new airlines have been attracted to the airport with 16 new routes added to their roster. LCY won the ‘2015 ACI EUROPSE Best Airport Award’ (under 5 million passenger category) and, together with Company85, was highly commended as ‘Infrastructure Project of the Year’ at the UK IT Awards.
